While the previous album Won't Look Back introduced a more mature acoustic/live sound, 9 Lives takes this further - Pandora now finally makes the transition from dance music to more acoustic/mature pop with a change in new fresh material on this album. This didn't however stop the opening acoustic  guitar up-tempo track A Love Like This to peak #2 in the Japan ZIP-FM Top 20 Dance chart though, and it soon went #1 at the Top 100 chart!!
