NOVEMBER

Oops, I´m late again. . . .

I hope you can forgive me if I tell you the reason why?

MY SECRET. . . .Last month I wrote in my diary that I would tell you a secret soon. OK, here it is;

I WILL PERFORM IN THE SWEDISH EUROVISION SONG CONTEST IN GOTHENBURG THE 22ND OF FEBRUARY!!!!!!!YEAHHHHAH!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, that felt good!(*smile) I know that some of you have already seen the article in Aftonbladet a couple of weeks ago. The song is called “YOU” and it’s written by the fantastic Swedish singer/artist Jan Johansen. Co-writers are, another brilliant Swedish singer called Shirley Clamp and her sister Tania.

I know you will love it since it’s one of the “catchiest” songs I have ever recorded in my opinion. The vibe is, hm, let’s say, powerful adult ageless pop with strong lyrics. Briefly it’s about a woman in my age and everything she’s been through, to find real love. Tommy Ekman and Christer Sandelin (also from Sweden) produce this particular song.

More details about the competition will come next month. . .

NEW ALBUM
I’m very proud and happy to announce that the first PANDORA album in six years will be released in Sweden (first of all) spring 2003. My ninth!! Can you believe it? I can’t! I was so close taking a loooong break from music this summer and now suddenly I have got so much new energy. Where did it come from? What happen? Who’s guilty?(*laughs. . )

CHRISTMAS
For the first time me and my family celebrate Christmas at my little sister’s house. (She’s not so little anymore I’ve noticed last year when she got married). Big sister syndrome. Sorry. . . I can’t help it! Anyway, it’s going to be fantastic. They live in this wonderful house in the countryside with a fireplace and all, so we will get exactly the right Christmas mood.

CHAT
I’m sorry I couldn’t join you last weekend. Makes me happy that you have found each other and made new friends through me! It’s an honour.


STUDIO DELETED
Patrick and I took a difficult decision about a month ago regarding our beloved studio. We decided to let it “rest” in a big container for a while until we have found the right place to build it the way we want it. Instead we have rented out the wonderful east wing to a GARDENER FAMILY! Yepp. It could be worse. I mean, everyone who knows about my passion for gardens understands what this means to me! I can’t wait for the next summer!!! Yeah!!(*singing, jumpin up and down!!)
MERCHANDISE
I know you won’t believe me but it has not been closer than this. . .
AND FINALLY. . . . .Of course I wish you all a wonderful Christmas. A perfect one like in your dreams. . .

OCTOBER

Dear friends.
October has been so beautiful. I have created a tradition that every October we have a Leaf Fest at our place. It means that we gather our best friends and family to help us rake the garden from leafs! (how clever of me:) It takes a couple of hours and you get really hungry so it´s great to have dinner together in the dining room afterwards. I love that "big famely" feeling. This year we actually borrowed this "magic" machine that suck up the leafs into a big bag that you only need to empty now and then! That was very useful but you still need to rake since it's too big to go everywhere! (I can’t believe I’m still boring you with my garden talk .…laughs!

RECORDINGS
Guess what?! I have gone into the studio again. Four new songs are made! I can’t tell you all the details yet, but soon, I promise. . .

ATTENTION! There’ll be more exciting news within very soon! *smiles......

OTHERS
I have spent last weekend in Gotland. It’s this small wonderful Swedish Ireland I think I’ve told you about before? Anyways, it was this Enduro competition GOTLAND GRAND NATIONAL and my husband was suppose to compete together with his best friend and 2000 others from the whole world! Too bad that my husband fell on his bike the week before the competition and hurt himself so bad he couldn’t compete. We went there anyway, to support our friend and meet/party with my Suzuki sponsor among others, and to just hang around in Visby.

FORUM
I’m sorry about the problems with my homepage lately. It should all be fixed now and will hopefully stay like this for a long time. But, you never know with computers. . .

PERFORMANCES
I do the final gig on my Finish tour on Thursday Nov 14th. It’s on Silja Europa (from Stockholm to Åbo), another ferry...and the Finish RADIO NOVA arranges it. Hoping to see you there!

SEPTEMBER

THE LAST GIGS. . .
This time I have to start by saying; THANK YOU everyone who came to see my last gigs on the Finnish tour in Eura and Amorella. You definitely made it memorable! (Thanks to everyone else too of course!) I’m sorry I didn’t spend more time in Amorella to sign autographs but my band and I + their girlfriends and some other friends were celebrating big time! I hope you can forgive me? I’m once again excited from having met one of my fans (Roger) on the ship who I’ve been in contact with only through my homepage. It’s always so nice to see you in person.
Now I have to tell you about how the evening went. . .

After an hour-long concert and one encore (One Of Us) the guys and me celebrated with Champagne in the loge. (The staffs at Amorella have been treating us so well!) Anyway, after that we all went to the disco and there I happend to meet with the drummer and guitarist from no less than Slip Not! I told them that their videos scare me. LOL! It might sound silly, but it´s true!! We were also talking about touring in Finland and the drummer (I don’t remember his name) gave me his scarf! I wore it the rest of the night of course! I was invited quite many times to dance so after a while I gave up saying; "no thank you", instead I gave all I had on the dance floor with some really nice and polite guys (of course)*smiles. . . I really don’t do that too often. The rest of my band joined me after awhile. I was totally wild and happy!

 HOLLIDAY
Did I tell you that Patrick and I went to visit some good friends in Tenerife? They just moved to this Spanish Ireland from Germany and they work in the singer of the band Helloween´s studio. It was just so nice to see them again! They took so good care of us, driving us around to wonderful places; eating at the cosiest restaurants, drinking great wine till early in the morning, talking and laughing about everything. It was simply super! The weather, the company, the Ireland. . .. I came back home like a new person.

THE CHIROPRACTOR . . .
I believe I’ve told you before about my back problems. Anyway, I’ve had a bad jaw too and this spring it all came to a point where it got really bad. I’ve had problems walking and eating. But now I have found this super professional chiropractor in Stockholm. He crumples me up and bends and presses my bones until I see stars!! But, man, I feel so much better! (I hope I don’t scare you too much)*smiles. I still can’t open my mouth 100% but I’m getting there. . . I felt it for sure this weekend when I’ve was singing.It wasn´t as painful as it use to.

 OTHERS
I had my windows cleaned last week! It’s great to have a view again. . . . . lol
I have also done an interview for the Swedish Radio P4 regarding my new single “Don’t Worry”. Hope fully they’ll start playing it soon!
I was invited to my Finnish promoter’s birthday and wedding party two weeks ago. It was fun. I performed Bridge Over Troubled Water with a band called Osmos Cosmos. They are a very popular and crazy cover band over there. Later on the same evening they invited me back on stage to sing some Swedish hits like Europe´s, Final Countdown and ABBA`S, Money, Money, Money. We had a crazy time/night together! The next morning I had an appointment . . I’m afraid I was a little tired. . . . . .

The first snow came yesterday night!!!

AUGUST
To get in the right mood I’m listening to the best of Aretha Franklin while I’m writing you this month’s diary. Sorry if I’ve been lazy to not write until now. This summer in Sweden has been the hottest in over 100 years! You get very lazy from that!

OTHERS
I was on vacation last week in Tenerife (an Ireland outside Spain) visiting friends of ours. That was such a great trip! Patrick and I saw a lot of the whole north part of the Ireland since our friends lives there. We even went to see the volcano Teide. It felt like being on the moon or something!
Of course I also had to do some shopping! But, I must say it was so nice to be around our friends and eat breakfast together every day + having a lot of home made dinners and good local wine so I didn’t feel like I needed anything else really.
I’ve now been to a specialist for my sciatica back and jaw problems. I feel much better already from the first visit!

GIGS
I’ve made several guest - performance gigs in Sweden in August. It’s been so special to perform at “home” again. One of the fans I met had been waiting nine years (he said) to get my autograph on his Trust Me vinyl!! I mean, words are not enough. . . .
The next gigs will take place Oct 4th EURA (Finland) and Oct 5th on the VIKING LINE ferry Amorella.

The 14th of November I perform at the Finish RADIO NOVA show on a very nice crousing ship called Silja Europa!

WON’T LOOK BACK
I had to take a break and get some strengh back after the EMI - Virgin merge. I will now start negotiations with record companies around the world. There is already a really cool radio station in Sydney called RADIO DANCE 87.6 FM who’s started playing Don’t Worry! Unfortunately they do not have a homepage yet.
I have FINALLY received a big package of Won’t Look Back albums so I can start selling it any day now on the web shop! Check the NEWS!

ONE LAST THING. . .

MAY / JUNE


The spring tour is now over. I wasn’t able to make the last two gigs since I’ve had problems with my back on and off the whole tour and for several years. It’s the first time ever I have to cancel! Anyway, I’ve been eating these pills to relax the muscles and it helped a bit. Even though I feel worse today again.

I have just found out that my office chair is placed on a Curry Cross! You might have heard about these fields in the ground? (Ants find their way from it). Anyway, it’s not good to spend too much time on a Curry Cross since it’s bad energy. You notice it by feeling ill or getting headache or other problems. Hm. . .I wonder if my back problems might have something to do with it . . .

I have to MOVE
I haven’t done much the past three weeks except taking it easy. I’m now preparing for the festivals in Finland. Please check my tour schedule under TOUR.

My garden is now in full blooming and I have some “ideas” that I want to make real there in July when I’m having my holiday.
This weekend is the big AROS-FESTIVALEN in Västerås(my hometown). I will not perform this year, just go there and have fun with friends.

I would like to say THANK YOU already for all the birthday cards and greeting I have got from you! It’s so fantastic to get greetings from all around the world when you turn 32! It can be quite depressing otherwise, to get older I mean. . .(laughs)
I haven’t really decided how to celebrate yet, but I’ll found out something.

MAY

Hello there. I'm writing this from small Kaustinen (north of Finland). I have some hours to kill before sound check so I got this great idea to write in my diary.

TOUR
Yesterday was a day off but we were travelling the whole day to get here.     I was watching the movie AMADEUS most of the time. I still love that movie, but I hate the ending. Next week is the last on this tour. We’re all a little tired after two moths.  I will spend my free time with my new and super cool Suzuki Maruder 800 cc, my cats, my garden and Patrick of course (even though I’ve seen him a lot during this tour since we’re doing it together). I must say that I’m satisfied with the tour in general. I didn’t expect much since this is some kind of come back for me on the European market. I’m honoured that my fans are so loyal! You treat me with so much respect and give me so much love. From my heart, thank you!

HOMEPAGE
As soon as I get back home I will start update my homepage. I have so many pictures to show you and I will start selling more stuff in the web shop. I have some good ideas. You will see soon. . . .

SINGLES
The third single “When I’m Over You” is now released in Finland and we’re working “Don’t Worry” for radio in Denmark and Sweden at the moment.

APRIL

Hi, 21.00 Thursday night. . .I just had a very nice bath. I definitely had to scrub off all the travel dust from a week in Finland! It’s so much fun to be on tour again and it’s actually not so exhausting that I remember it was? (Even though the bus broke down twice and we’ve spent, I don’t know how many hours, waiting for it to be fixed by our super chauffeur sound engineer Lasse “Kongo”)

I’m the only girl in the band and that worried me a little before we took off, but that has not been a problem at all. The guys are hilarious and they keep me in a good mood all the time. The only boring thing is that they are so tired very often and I’m not, and I know why . . ..

Anyway, I’ve made eight shows so far and most of them have been super! I’ve visited places that almost not exist. For different reasons these placesare the ones we have the best (or worth?) memories from at the moment. . . .I will spare you the details.Curious...?

I also made a short visit to the Finish part of Lapland. We flew to Rovaniemi (that’s where Santa lives by the way) and I did a signing session at Jack & Jill. In the evening at the hotel I made an acoustic performance  all  by my self to begin with. Then at midnight we did the show.

On the way home from Lapland, (on the ferry to Sweden) a very desperate, but nice cruse hostess asked me if we could help her out since she had booked a band that had forgotten one of their members in Helsinki and the boat was already cruising!!

I was really tired but said that we could try to help. It all ended up with my band (and my self) singing/playing covers and some of my own songs for the guests. They were even dancing! We had a fantastic time and the best of all was that we killed some travelling time. This hostess overloaded us with Champagne afterwards so of course we had another party going on together again. It can be quite frustrating to take the seventeen hours long ferry trip EVERY WEEKEND. This night was great though.

I did another acoustic performance last Thursday in Helsinki, (The Capitol of Finland). That was a Versace event so I wore my white leather gala dress and sang, Don’t Worry, If It Makes You Happy (Sheryl Crow) and I’m The Better Woman. It was fun but it felt a bit weird to play the guitar in a dress like that!

In Kokkola (quite close to Helsinki) I felt like joining the party after the show. I don’t do that very often since it always comes a lot of people who wants to talk (and of course this was not an exception). But, I was in a good mood and talked to ALL of them (between the drinks:) until two guys started fighting over me. Time to say good night. . .

I arrived home yesterday and today I have been working, guess where J?. . . .. .IN MY GARDEN!

MARCH

Hello People . . .

HOPE YOU HAD A HAPPY EASTER!
Mine was kind of relaxing. . .I didn’t plan anything special. I believe it’s good to not plan too much. Then you open up for unexpected things to happen. (Like a visit from my family and some friends I haven’t seen in a long time:) But most of the time I’ve been preparing the tour and my garden. . . .. I’m sorry to bother you with my garden talk it’s just that it means so much to me so I forget that 92% of the population are not interested at all!

“PAYING BACK”
Patrick and I held a lecture in music business at the University of Mälardalen three weeks ago. They have this special education there were you can study showbiz for example; how to set up a concert, make a budget, sign contracts etc, etc. It’s not the first time we do something like this but we were nervous anyway. I like it though. It’s my way of “paying back”. To tell/teach people about the traps in this business.

THE PREMIERE OF CROSSROADS
I  went to see the premiere of Brittney’s movie, Crossroads. I guess I was too old or something to appreciate it since I had a hard time to not fall asleep. . zZzZ She was there too, to say hello and introduce the film. Afterwards it was a party at Café Opera. I didn’t stay too long since I’m so bad at “mingling” and do small talk. . .

RADIO KISS FM TOUR
About two weeks ago I was in Finland for a mini tour with Radio Kiss FM. That was a lot of fun! We were several acts on this tour and I had my own bus together with my dancers. We were all the time right behind the big bus with the other bands when I really had to go to the lady’s room. The whole caravan stopped just for me to do what I had to do. .. .then when we  continued driving we tuned in Radio Kiss FM and we heard this interwiev with one of their male hosts in the bus in front of us live on the radio. He revealed to the listeners that the caravan had to stop because of me going to the loo!!!! (laughs!). But then he said that I am a very normal person that don’t sleep with my make up on ( I had this translated to me) to correct him self in case people understood him as I was a big diva or so. I thought this was fun so I started to plan my revenge, . . . .I called Radio Kiss FM up and I told them that I heard this interwiev and I wanted to make some corrections and I explained to the listeners that I of course sleep with my make up on, I’m a SUPERSTAR for God’s sake! Then I said that I have a feeling that this “host” is the same kind. . . .. The woman I talked to said that they had noticed the same thing, that he probably sleeps with make up on. .because there are some left when he comes to work. We had a lot of fun making up this gossip and rumours!!

TOUR
I hope all of you have noticed the new tour section! This week we start rehearsing for the tour in Finland.

FEBRUARY

Hello People . . .

Hope all is well with you. I’m fine, trying to concentrate on the forthcoming April tour in Finland. I’ll tell you more about it later.

The Valentines performance was fun! I met some Swedish artists I haven’t seen in a long time. The in-store signings and acoustic performances at Antilla (record store) went well too. I even met some of you there! That is really special to me, to meet the people who write me mails and buy my records.

I was supposed to go to Germany two weeks ago but they changed the plans for me. So I’ve had some time off actually. On my free time I’ve been to a acupuncture in Stockholm a couple of times to cure my bad back. It’s really amazing what they can do!

It’s been snowing a lot lately. It feels like it’s Christmas again. . . .

JULY
Sorry I’m late!!
I hope you are not too disappointed?!
Well, here is an update of my past month.

I spent Midsummer together with my husband and my sister and her husband in a caravan on a camping in Dalarna (two and a half hours north from Västerås). They are Midsummer experts in Dalarna! They celebrate in a very traditional way, wich means traditional clothing, midsummer dance to old traditional instruments, etc. We ate herring, fresh potatoes with dill, fresh onion, sour cream and hard bread with ripe cheese. Of course we drank a lot of snaps (vodka)! All very traditional and delicious! My husband has roots from that part of Sweden so we met some of his relatives (which doesn’t happen too often). We all got drunk and it was so much fun!

I did my first festival gig in Finland with my new band the last weekend in June! (Espoo Tapiola Garden and Mika Salo´s Event.) I was very nervous but they did a fantastic first performance and the audience were super! This time I have two guitarists instead of one. Everyone has a hard rock background but it affects the songs in a great way, and I’m keen on keeping my PANDORA sound, don’t worry.

July is my “taking it easy” month. Which means a little less work. . .but not completely free. Anyway, I have taken my nephews, Dennis and Martin to Kolmården which is the biggest ZOO in Sweden. They have a super fantastic dolphin show for example. I have also visited some friends and Patrick and I even took a quick trip to Gotland (a small, fantastic Swedish Island). I bought the coolest boots in Visby!!!! 


My cats are really irritated of me being away from home so much lately so they have started protesting by pee and do number two, inside the house! I´ve got the message guys. . .


I’m not too happy to have noticed that the one frog that moved in my pond last year, has now met a friend. . .That means two big, fat and horrible FROGS very close to me!!!!!!Help!


The weather is hot and sunny so tomorrow I will go to a nearby beach with a friend.


Oh, by the way. I have been driving my Suzuki like crazy since the weather is perfect!


Thank you for remembering my birthday the 20th of June! It always makes me very happy and honoured.
